Acrylic Painting
In this class you will learn how to use the vibrant colors of acrylics to create both realistic and abstract images.

Woodblock Reduction Printing
Learn step-by-step how to make a woodblock reduction print. Participants will draw a simple image and then use carving tools to chisel their woodblock. Your finished product will be a series of colorful prints that you created.

Book Binding
Learn several binding styles and basic skills, plus important fundamentals of materials, equipment, and techniques. Your finished books will make perfect gifts or journals for self-reflection.

Expressive Watercolors
In this class you will be introduced to the subtleties of watercolor through lessons on brush strokes and color palettes. If you are an experienced watercolorist, William will help you master new techniques that will enhance your artwork.

Stained Glass
Learn techniques including design, glass cutting, soldering, and framing for making a copper-foiled or leaded stained glass panel. After six weeks you will have a completed stained glass piece.

Wheel Throwing
Spend a couple hours a week playing with clay. Our instructors will teach you the basics and provide tips on how to advance your craft. Ten pottery wheels are available or you may want to focus on slab work.

Encaustic Pets
Use wax, pigment and a photo of your favorite critter to design a colorful picture of your pet. Please bring in a 5×7 or larger animal picture for this project.

Glass Bead Class
Learn to use heat, gravity, and simple tools to shape vibrant molten glass. Bring a lunch and be prepared to be amazed by what you have created. This is for beginning and intermediate students.

LOVE Journal
Learn to relax as you play with different art mediums and write about your passions and loves. Retired school counselor and art aficionado, Carol Hedberg will walk you step-by-step through this creative journaling process.

Batik
Batik is a method of dyeing a fabric by which the parts of the fabric not intended to be dyed are covered with removable wax. This method of artistic hand-dyeing is fun and an easy way to bring color into your life.

Woodcut T-shirt Printing
In this class you will draw a picture, transfer it to wood, and then use hand tools to chisel it out. Once your image is chiseled to perfection you will use ink and a small press to apply it to fabric.

Eco-Printing: Dyeing Scarves Naturally
Eco-printing is a natural-dye technique using bundled plant material to color fabric.
We’ll spend the day learning how to identify dye plants and how to eco-print. You’ll leave class with two silk scarves and the ability to take your skills home and work with your local plants. Please bring a pair of sturdy work gloves to class.
